2021-22 SAN DIEGO BASKETBALL STUDENT SECTION TOP 25 RANKINGS

  1. ST. AUGUSTINE SAINTS PIT OF SAN DIEGO (2020 RANK: 1)

The Saints Pit stays on top. One of the best out there every basketball season. The Pit is wild and savage. The purple curtain is legendary. When you have the best basketball team in San Diego, you need to have a top-of-the-line student section behind the rim and this student section has a potential dynasty on its hands! The St. Augustine Saints Pit is your back-to-back San Diego basketball Student Section of the Year!

  1. TORREY PINES CHAOS OF SAN DIEGO (2020 RANK: 4)

The Chaos was just that this season, chaotic. Torrey Pines student section is a group you don’t want to mess with. Saying they’re savages at courtside is an understatement. 

  1. PATRICK HENRY HOOLIGANS OF SAN DIEGO (2020 RANK: 19)

The Hooligans can hang with the best of them and what makes them better than the rest is that they spit hot fire when it comes to their social media game. They know how to market their wild student section.

  1. RANCHO BERNARDO  STABLE OF SAN DIEGO (2020 RANK: NOT RANKED)

I saw the Stable in person this winter and they’re a crazy bunch. I’m a huge fan of the Stable and I love the hospitality they gave me. They know how to get crazy.

  1. CATHEDRAL CATHOLIC LOS LOCOS OF SAN DIEGO (2020 RANK: 2)

Los Locos is very crazy. One of the best year in and year out. They don’t just hang with the best of them, they’re the student section you aim to be. 

  1. MT. CARMEL RED SEA OF SAN DIEGO (2020 RANK: 13)

The Red Sea came away with another fantastic season, but I felt like this was their best year in awhile. Could be because they got so much better at social media that they showed off their amazing school spirit. It worked as they won the San Diego Football Student Section title.

  1. DEL NORTE FLOCK OF SAN DIEGO (2020 RANK: 11)

The Flock is an amazing student section. So much so that I need to make amends to the Flock during football season. Totes forgot to put them not just in the San Diego Top 40 Football Student Section, but the upper top half of it. I have my microscope on the Flock from here on out.

  1. CARLSBAD LOUD CROWD (2020 RANK: 6)

The Loud Crowd is one of the most respected student sections in Southern California, heck, the nation. They put on a show during basketball season.

  1. MISSION HILLS GROWL CROWD OF SAN MARCOS (2020 RANK: 5)

The Growl Crowd is always a top-notch student section in any sport they attend. A disadvantage for opposing teams. This is a very loud crowd.

  1. SAGE CREEK BOB SQUAD OF CARLSBAD (2020 RANK: 7)

The Bob Squad is a gym-only student section and it is a fantastic student section inside the gym. They can pack the gym and go wild!
