2022 INLAND EMPIRE REGIONAL FOOTBALL STUDENT SECTION TOP 40 PRESEASON RANKINGS

In 2015, yours truly began covering Student Sections in Orange County, California. We expanded to Southern California in 2017 and last year, we added four more states. This past winter, we expanded to 19 states.

Now, we are going to 40 states. This is still a one-man operation for the most part.

Since it all started in Southern California and I know the Student Section very very well in SoCal, we will have Regional coverage in five different Southern California Regions starting with the Los Angeles Region.

I know that Student Sections have a lot of work to do to get the students to the games to cheer on their classmates and go along with the theme and make sure they don’t cause trouble. These student sections deserve recognition.

We will kick off the Student Section season with Preseason Football Student Section Rankings. REMEMBER, this is a PREVIEW. It is merely a prediction. The real rankings come out in November or December.

If you feel your student section isn’t ranked high enough or not ranked at all, let us know and we’ll keep a close eye on them.

Every week, we will also have Student Section of the Week for each state. Once you win Student Section of the Week, you can’t win it again, but you still have to battle for the top spot in your state and perhaps the Nation as we will also name a Football Student Section National Champion.

So far we have previewed the Top 40 Preseason Football Student Section Rankings in Tennessee, Alabama, Alaska, North Carolina, Texas, Utah, the Los Angeles and Orange County Region as well as the Watch List for Hawaii and Indiana.

Today we go to the Inland Empire. A lot of fantastic Student Sections in one of the hotter parts of California, but these Student Sections can also bring the heat. A lot of passionate Student Sections, including the old Southwestern League. The league has been given a facelift with new teams going in and some teams moving to another league, which means the school spirit has been spread around.

The best student sections are the ones that travel, which is tough with the brutal Southern California traffic on a Friday evening, but if you travel like the Summit Nest of Fontana did last season in the playoffs, you’re forever a legend!

In each state (or in this case, Region), we will name one student section to look out for. A student section that doesn’t get talked about a lot by us or others and for the Inland Empire, it’s the Ontario Christian Dungeon. The Dungeon was a Student Section I knew about, but didn’t see often on social media until late in the 2021 Football Season. We definitely saw them during the Basketball season when their girls basketball team made a deep run to the CIF Finals. I expect the Dungeon to keep showing off their school spirit on social media as they start in the Top 10, but will they jump into the Top 5 by seasons end? They can do it!

Will the Dungeon crashed the party and be one of the IE best? Let’s find out where everyone starts this season.

2022 INLAND EMPIRE REGIONAL FOOTBALL STUDENT SECTION TOP 40 PRESEASON RANKINGS

  1. Great Oak Red Wave of Temecula (2021 Final Rank: 2)

The Red Wave is a very unique and very special Student Section. If they can add consistent social media work by showing off their Student Section at least once a week, which will show they’re still causing earthquakes by the 15 Freeway every home game, then this will be a no brainer for the top spot. The Red Wave can rock it on a Friday or sometimes a Thursday night. This is a crazy Student Section and they can battle with some of the best in the Nation!
