2022 LOS ANGELES TOP 40 FOOTBALL STUDENT SECTION RANKINGS

We continue our Final Rankings in the 41 states we covered this football season. 

To say I’m overwhelmed with the work that comes along with this is an understatement.

We had Student Section of the Week for over 10 weeks and that helped us determine who had the best Student Section and which one wanted it more.

Just showing up in large crowds isn’t enough. It might fool other outlets that don’t cover Student Sections, but not us. We have to know how bad you want and marketing is key. 

You will see top-notch Student Sections miss out at the top spot, but we kept saying it over and over and over again, in order to be considered number one, you have to win the Student Section of the Week title. Otherwise, what is the point of having that contest?!

I know Student Sections complain, but remember it’s thousands of Student Sections and only me. Social media is your friend if used correctly.

When we started covering Student Sections in 2015, it began with only Orange County, California. We expanded in 2017 to Southern California before expanding to other states last year. Southern California has a special place for us.

If Student Sections in SoCal didn’t bring the hype, this idea of National Student Section coverage and competition online would never come to exist. Even if we cover 41 states, we still cover Southern California in five different sections.

We continue with Los Angeles. This is a region cluttered with a bunch of schools and a bunch of fantastic Student Sections.

There’s some Student Sections that didn’t make the cut in LA, but could make the rankings in some state. This region runs deep.

There’s some Student Sections that rocked it this year, but the Top 5 is loaded with some of the best Student Sections in the country. I’ll mention one of these Student Sections could’ve have won it in other states, but the ones above them had huge seasons this year!

2022 LOS ANGELES TOP 40 FOOTBALL STUDENT SECTION RANKINGS

1. Redondo Union Flock 

The Flock finished very strong in a battle for the top spot that came to the finish line. This was close, but the Flock came out on top with its endless social media work. The Flock handles business at home. It’s a party at the Flock. Some might be surprised that the Flock is at the top, but their advisor ran a solid Student Section in Orange County. I am surprised that they took the top spot so quickly, but the Flock soared in 2022 as the Los Angeles Football Student Section of the Year!

2. La Serna Kingdom

The Kingdom was at number one for most of the year and it hurts my heart to not give them the top spot. Such an amazing Student Section with fantastic leaders. Social media is there and they show off the insanity that is inside the Kingdom. This Student Section keeps getting better and better.

3. Valencia Viking Nation 

Viking Nation wanted this one. It is tough to not give them the top spot, but they battled with two of the best Student Sections in the country. They packed the stands and have traveled. I know because I was there when they made the trip through the LA traffic. Viking Nation has always been in the Top 5 in LA every year!

4. Bishop Amat Dawgpound 

Dawgpound came through towards the end of the season as far as social media is concerned. The leaders at the Dawgpound are second to none. One of the best leaders out there! It was tough to not put them higher than the 4 spot.

5. St. John Bosco Tribe 

We don’t see them on social media a lot, but everyone knows of the Tribe. They show up big at home games. When you have one of the best teams in the country, you’re going to have a solid Student Section in the stands. The Tribe is a wild one.
