2023 ILLINOIS FINAL TOP 40 FOOTBALL STUDENT SECTION RANKINGS

The time has come to start ranking 50 states that we covered this football season. 

To say I’m overwhelmed with the work that comes along with this is an understatement.

We had 10 Student Section of the Week winners in Illinois and that helped us determine who had the best Student Section and which ones wanted it more.

Just showing up in large crowds isn’t enough. It might fool other outlets that don’t cover Student Sections, but not us. We have to know how bad you want it and marketing is key. 

You will see top-notch Student Sections miss out at the top spot, but we kept saying it over and over and over again, in order to be considered number one, you have to win the Student Section of the Week title. Otherwise, what is the point of having that contest?!

I know Student Sections complain, but remember it’s thousands of Student Sections and only me. Social media is your friend if used correctly.

This is our second year covering Student Sections in Illinois, so we hope we were accurate.

I thought this state would be difficult to cover based on the large number of schools in this state, but it turns out that some of these Student Sections really showed up this fall and it made picking number one so tough. A lot of Student Sections battled for the top spot and no one really stood out above the rest.

The Illinois Football Student Section Champion will move on to Regionals in hopes to get the National Championship banner as voting will now get involved!

So, let’s see who made the list and who is the best in The Prairie State.

  1. St. Charles North Blue Man Group

I wish I could have found a better photo of the Neon Out, but Blue Out and Yellow Out rocked! The Blue Man Group needs to give credit to their social media team because they made it known who has the best school spirit in the state. We’ll see how Blue Man Group does in Regionals and perhaps Nationals, but for now, the St. Charles North Blue Man Group is the 2023 Illinois Football Student Section of the year!

  1. Lincoln Way West Westside

The Westside Orange Out looks sick! The Stable showed off their Student Section and with a crowd like this, you can’t blame them!

  1. Leyden Nest

Hard to believe I had the Nest unranked in the Preseason Student Section Rankings, but that was a huge mistake. The Nest is one of the best in the state year in and year out!

  1. Mahomet-Seymour

This Student Section can hang with the best of them in the state. From the looks of it, even the weather doesn’t stand a chance in stopping this Student Section!

  1. Maine South Hawk Nation

Hawk Nation can pack their Student Section to the brim. Solid Student Section, Loud Student Section that earned a Top 5 finish.
