2024 ALASKA FINAL TOP 15 FOOTBALL STUDENT SECTION RANKINGS

The time has come to start ranking 50 states that we covered this football season. 

To say I’m overwhelmed with the work that comes along with this is an understatement.

We had 8 Student Section of the Week winners in Alaska and that helped us determine who had the best Student Section and which ones wanted it more.

Just showing up in large crowds isn’t enough. It might fool other outlets that don’t cover Student Sections, but not us. We have to know how bad you want it and marketing is key. 

You will see top-notch Student Sections miss out at the top spot, but we kept saying it over and over and over again, in order to be considered number one, you have to win the Student Section of the Week title. Otherwise, what is the point of having that contest?!

I know Student Sections complain, but remember it’s thousands of Student Sections and only me. Social media is your friend if used correctly.

This is our third year covering Student Sections in Alaska, so we hope we were accurate.

We did see a small improvement in the Student Section scene this fall in Alaska and we hope to see more improvements in 2025.

The Alaska Football Student Section Champion will move on to Regionals Student Section Playoffs in hopes to get the National Student Section Playoffs and hopefully obtain the National Student Section Championship banner as voting will get involved in November!

So, let’s see who made the list and who is the best in The Last Frontier State.

2024 ALASKA FINAL TOP 15 FOOTBALL STUDENT SECTION RANKINGS

1. Service

It is very rare to find a Student Section showing off their school spirit in Alaska and I mean very rare, but Service has school spirit and they weren’t afraid to show it in September. They may have a low seed in the Northwest Regional Student Section playoffs, but they are in the playoffs as Service is your 2024 Alaska Football Student Section Champions!

2. Palmer

Palmer goes to battle and so does its Student Section, but it is all love and friendship after the game with Wasilla.

3. Wasilla

Despite losing to Palmer, I do appreciate the sportsmanship…and a nice beverage from Elwoods!

4. Soldotna

One of the big dawgs in football in this state is Soldotna and this year the Student Section celebrated their coach 160th win this past month, the most in Alaska! Plus their social media is pretty active in reminders and themes for the Student Section.

5. Dimond

One of the better football programs in the state definitely has to come with a solid Student Section.
