The time has come to start ranking 50 states that we covered this football season. 

To say I’m overwhelmed with the work that comes along with this is a huge huge understatement.

We had 9 Student Section of the Week winners in Connecticut and that helped us determine who had the best Student Section and which ones wanted it more.

Just showing up in large crowds isn’t enough. It might fool other outlets that don’t cover Student Sections, but not us. We have to know how bad you want it and marketing is key. 

You will see top-notch Student Sections miss out at the top spot, but we kept saying it over and over and over again, in order to be considered number one, you have to win the Student Section of the Week title. Otherwise, what is the point of having that contest?!

I know Student Sections complain but remember it’s thousands of Student Sections and only me. Social media is your friend if used correctly.

A Student Section that doesn’t post videos or photos of there Student Section on a consistent basis is like a tree falling with no one around. It doesn’t make any noise.

This is our second year covering Football Student Sections in Connecticut. We had Newtown Hawks Nest win it in 2023.

This is the most improved state when it comes to Student Sections. We discovered a lot of Student Sections in Connecticut.

We will have 5 Student Sections in Connecticut that will be voting in the Student Section playoffs that will begin soon.

So, let’s see who made the list and who is the best in the Constitution State.

2024 CONNECTICUT FINAL TOP 40 FOOTBALL STUDENT SECTION RANKINGS

RED = PLAYOFF BOUND

  1. Daniel Hand Tiger Den (2023 Rank: 9)

The Tiger Den packed the stands this season and I definitely enjoyed the Halloween Theme. This is a Student Section that loves to show off their school spirit on social media and for that, they got their reward! We’ll see how they’ll fare in the National Student Section playoffs that start pretty soon, but for now, they’re the 2024 Connecticut Football Student Section of the Year!

  1. Masuk Red Army (2023 Rank: 4)

It would be tough to return to the Top 5 this season with a large number of interested Student Sections in this state, but the Red Army caught my eye all season and earn a spot in the Top 3. We’ll see how they’ll fare in the National Student Section playoffs that start pretty soon.

  1. Northwest Catholic Belly (2023 Rank: NR)

The Belly was a beast this fall. They packed their stands all season, but something tells me better things will come this Winter. We’ll see how they’ll fare in the National Student Section playoffs that start pretty soon.

  1. Notre Dame Green Machine (2023 Rank: 2)

They weren’t as crazy on social media as last year, but expectations are always high with the Green Machine. Top 5 is still solid, but I’m sure they’ll be a the one to look out for in the Winter Rankings! We’ll see how they’ll fare in the National Student Section playoffs that start pretty soon.

  1. Morgan Dog Pound (2023 Rank: NR)

If the Dogpound posted more of their Student Section, I think they would’ve been number one. The Dog Pound is something you just can’t hide from the public. The one video I saw was worthy to put them in the National Student Section playoffs, which will start in a few days.
