2024 KANSAS FINAL TOP 40 FOOTBALL STUDENT SECTION RANKINGS

The time has come to start ranking 50 states that we covered this football season. 

To say I’m overwhelmed with the work that comes along with this is a huge huge understatement.

We had 11 Student Section of the Week winners in Kansas and that helped us determine who had the best Student Section and which ones wanted it more.

Just showing up in large crowds isn’t enough. It might fool other outlets that don’t cover Student Sections, but not us. We have to know how bad you want it and marketing is key. 

You will see top-notch Student Sections miss out at the top spot, but we kept saying it over and over and over again, in order to be considered number one, you have to win the Student Section of the Week title. Otherwise, what is the point of having that contest?!

I know Student Sections complain but remember it’s thousands of Student Sections and only me. Social media is your friend if used correctly.

A Student Section that doesn’t post videos or photos of there Student Section on a consistent basis is like a tree falling with no one around. It doesn’t make any noise.

This is our third year covering Football Student Sections in Kansas. We had Kapuan Mt. Carmel Boneyard win it in 2023 and Maize Red Rage in 2022.

We discovered some Student Sections last fall. Not a whole lot of new ones this season, but Kansas has some great school spirit nevertheless.

We will have 4 Student Sections in Kansas that will be voting in the Student Section playoffs that will begin soon.

So, let’s see who made the list and who is the best in the Sunflower State.

  1. Blue Valley Northwest Dawgpound (2023 Rank: 14)

I spoke with a journalist from Blue Valley Northwest and made a comment about the Dawgpound being the Student Section to checkout in Kansas. I can see why she made that statement. One of the larger Student Sections, the Dawgpound loves showing off their school spirit on Instagram. We’ll see how they’ll fare in the National Student Section playoffs that start pretty soon, but for now, they’re the 2024 Kansas Football Student Section of the Year!

  1. Olathe South Birdhouse (2023 Rank: 3)

The Birdhouse loves throwing the powder around at every game. They definitely look like they can be a problem for the opponent. We’ll see how they’ll fare in the National Student Section playoffs that start pretty soon!

  1. Gardner Edgerton (2023 Rank: 13)

It is not often when MaxPreps shows off a Student Section since their focus is on the play on the field, but sometimes you can’t just ignore a powerful Student Section. We’ll see how they’ll fare in the National Student Section playoffs that start pretty soon!

  1. Maize South Bullpen (2023 Rank: 5)

The Bullpen is back in the Top 5. They can pack the stands and are very consistent in showing off their Student Section on Instagram. We’ll see how they’ll fare in the National Student Section playoffs that start pretty soon!

  1. DeSoto Wildside (2023 Rank: 7)

The Wildside are one of the more consistent Student Sections when it comes to promoting on Instagram. It got them a Top 5 Rankings this year!
