2024 MAINE FINAL TOP 20 FOOTBALL STUDENT SECTION RANKINGS

The time has come to start ranking 50 states that we covered this football season. 

To say I’m overwhelmed with the work that comes along with this is a huge huge understatement.

We had 10 Student Section of the Week winners in Maine and that helped us determine who had the best Student Section and which ones wanted it more.

Just showing up in large crowds isn’t enough. It might fool other outlets that don’t cover Student Sections, but not us. We have to know how bad you want it and marketing is key. 

You will see top-notch Student Sections miss out at the top spot, but we kept saying it over and over and over again, in order to be considered number one, you have to win the Student Section of the Week title. Otherwise, what is the point of having that contest?!

I know Student Sections complain but remember it’s thousands of Student Sections and only me. Social media is your friend if used correctly.

A Student Section that doesn’t post videos or photos of there Student Section on a consistent basis is like a tree falling with no one around. It doesn’t make any noise.

This is our second year covering Football Student Sections in Maine. We had Oxford Hills win it in 2023.

This is a state that we don’t know much about, but a few Student Sections did pop up this season and we hope to see Maine grow in 2025.

We will have 2 Student Sections in Maine that will be voting in the Student Section playoffs that will begin soon.

So, let’s see who made the list and who is the best in the Pine Tree State.

2024 MAINE FINAL TOP 20 FOOTBALL STUDENT SECTION RANKINGS

RED = PLAYOFF BOUND

  1. Thornton Academy (2023 Rank: 11)

Thornton Academy Student Section was insane this season, but this is protocol for them. They showed off their Student Section on Instagram consistently and it paid off. We’ll see how they’ll fare in the National Student Section playoffs, but for now, they are the Maine Football Student Section Champions!

  1. Oxford Hills (2023 Rank: 1)

One of the more consistent Student Sections in the state, Oxford Hills almost came away with back-to-back Maine Student Section titles.

  1. Kennebunk (2023 Rank: 20)

One of the better Student Sections this season. They look like they can rock the Red, White and Blue better than anyone.

  1. Greely (2023 Rank: NR)

This Student Section can pack the stands. They definitely caught my attention this fall.

  1. York Catpack (2023 Rank: 3)

I know York Catpack more than anyone. Don’t let the number of Students in the stands fool you, they can rock the stands better than anyone.
