2024 MISSOURI FINAL TOP 40 FOOTBALL STUDENT SECTION RANKINGS

The time has come to start ranking 50 states that we covered this football season. 

To say I’m overwhelmed with the work that comes along with this is a huge huge understatement.

We had 11 Student Section of the Week winners in Nebraska and that helped us determine who had the best Student Section and which ones wanted it more.

Just showing up in large crowds isn’t enough. It might fool other outlets that don’t cover Student Sections, but not us. We have to know how bad you want it and marketing is key. 

You will see top-notch Student Sections miss out at the top spot, but we kept saying it over and over and over again, in order to be considered number one, you have to win the Student Section of the Week title. Otherwise, what is the point of having that contest?!

I know Student Sections complain but remember it’s thousands of Student Sections and only me. Social media is your friend if used correctly.

A Student Section that doesn’t post videos or photos of there Student Section on a consistent basis is like a tree falling with no one around. It doesn’t make any noise.

This is our third year covering Football Student Sections in Nebraska. We had Millard West Crazies win it in 2022 and 2023.

Millard West Crazies are looking for a threepeat, but it may be difficult with some solid Student Sections. Nebraska got a bit better in the Student Section scene.

We will have 4 Student Sections in Missouri that will be voting in the Student Section playoffs that will begin soon.

So, let’s see who made the list and who is the best in the Show Me State.

2024 MISSOURI FINAL TOP 40 FOOTBALL STUDENT SECTION RANKINGS

RED = PLAYOFF BOUND

  1. Rockhurst (2023 Rank: 21)

This is a weird group of kids, but I’m sure that’s what they were going for. You can sense a brotherhood here as they go wild for their football team. Mess with the team and they mess with you. You have to believe they will rattle any opponent who dares to taunt them. We’ll see how far they will go when they vote in the National Football Student Section playoffs, but for now they’re the 2024 Missouri Football Student Section of the Year!

  1. Lees Summit West 12th Man (2023 Rank: 3)

12th Man has one of the bigger Student Sections in the state and they always give their football team a big advantage, hence the name! We’ll see if they can market and promote the voting in the National Football Student Section playoffs!

  1. Nixa Dirty Birds (2023 Rank: 2)

Nixa has shared with me that they want this and they have shown that to us this fall. They can pack the stands and go nuts! Top 3 once again for the Dirty Birds! We’ll see if they can market and promote the voting in the National Football Student Section playoffs!

  1. Staley Nest (2023 Rank: 1)

This might be a smaller Student Section compared to others, but what for them in the Top 5 again is the social media marketing. They show off their Student Section on Instagram more than anyone in the state. They deserved this spot for their school spirit. We’ll see if they can market and promote the voting in the National Football Student Section playoffs!

  1. Eureka Catpound (2023 Rank: 6)

Social Media was handled very well this fall as the Catpound showed off their school spirit on Instagram quite often. If you can throw a powder toss like Eureka, I’d show it off too!
