2024 NEW YORK FINAL TOP 40 FOOTBALL STUDENT SECTION RANKINGS

The time has come to start ranking 50 states that we covered this football season.

To say I’m overwhelmed with the work that comes along with this is a huge huge understatement.

We had 10 Student Section of the Week winners in New York and that helped us determine who had the best Student Section and which ones wanted it more.

Just showing up in large crowds isn’t enough. It might fool other outlets that don’t cover Student Sections, but not us. We have to know how bad you want it and marketing is key.

You will see top-notch Student Sections miss out at the top spot, but we kept saying it over and over and over again, in order to be considered number one, you have to win the Student Section of the Week title. Otherwise, what is the point of having that contest?!

I know Student Sections complain but remember it’s thousands of Student Sections and only me. Social media is your friend if used correctly.

A Student Section that doesn’t post videos or photos of there Student Section on a consistent basis is like a tree falling with no one around. It doesn’t make any noise.

This is our third year covering Football Student Sections in New York. We had Christian Brothers Academy of Albany win it in 2022 and Shaker Barnyard in 2023.

We saw a lot of new Student Sections in this state that broke in the rankings and more Student Sections moved up in the Top 10.

We will have 5 Student Sections in New York that will be voting in the Student Section playoffs that will begin soon.

So, let’s see who made the list and who is the best in the Empire State.

RED = PLAYOFF BOUND

Christian Brothers Academy of Syracuse (2023 Rank: 11)

Social media improved this fall and from the looks of it, CBA showed off their Student Section every week with a bunch of fun themes. They definitely rocked it this year. We’ll see how they’ll fare in the National Student Section playoffs that start pretty soon, but for now, they’re the 2024 New York Football Student Section of the Year!

Shaker Barnyard (2023 Rank: 1)

The Barnyard has been one of the big dawgs in the Student Section scene in New York. Their social media marketing has been very consistent this fall. We’ll see how they’ll fare in the National Student Section playoffs that start pretty soon.

Baldwinsville (2023 Rank: 3)

Baldwinsville can pack the stands to the gills. This is a Student Section that has been consistent over the years as they have another Top 3 finish. We’ll see how they’ll fare in the National Student Section playoffs that start pretty soon.

Liverpool Tribe (2023 Rank: NR)

The Tribe comes into the Top 5 after being unranked. They can pack the stands and it looks like the White Out Theme was their best one this season. We’ll see how they’ll fare in the National Student Section playoffs that start pretty soon.

Somers 12th Man (2023 Rank: 14)

Somers packed the stands and showed some consistency this fall and break in the Top 5 and now they’ll get ready to vote in the Student Section playoff on Monday.
