2024 WEST VIRGINIA FINAL TOP 30 FOOTBALL STUDENT SECTION RANKINGS
The time has come to start ranking 50 states that we covered this football season.
To say I’m overwhelmed with the work that comes along with this is a huge huge understatement.
We had 10 Student Section of the Week winners in West Virginia and that helped us determine who had the best Student Section and which ones wanted it more.
Just showing up in large crowds isn’t enough. It might fool other outlets that don’t cover Student Sections, but not us. We have to know how bad you want it and marketing is key.
You will see top-notch Student Sections miss out at the top spot, but we kept saying it over and over and over again, in order to be considered number one, you have to win the Student Section of the Week title. Otherwise, what is the point of having that contest?!
I know Student Sections complain but remember it’s thousands of Student Sections and only me. Social media is your friend if used correctly.
A Student Section that doesn’t post videos or photos of there Student Section on a consistent basis is like a tree falling with no one around. It doesn’t make any noise.
This is our third year covering Football Student Sections in West Virginia. We had Martinsburg Dog Pound winning it in 2022 and Morgantown Rowdie Society in 2023.
West Virginia is a tough one when it comes to Student Sections on social media. We know they’re there, but we have a hard time seeing the Student Sections that are considered the best.
We will have 3 Student Sections in West Virginia that will be voting in the Student Section playoffs that will begin soon.
So, let’s see who made the list and who is the best in the Mountain State.
2024 WEST VIRGINIA FINAL TOP 30 FOOTBALL STUDENT SECTION RANKINGS
RED = PLAYOFF BOUND
- Morgantown Rowdie Society (2023 Rank: 1)
It was close, but the Rowdie Society is back on top! They can pack the stands better than anyone else in the state. Rowdie Society also loves to showoff their Student Section on social media. We’ll see how far they will go when they vote in the National Football Student Section playoffs, but for now they’re the back-to-back West Virginia Football Student Section of the Year!
- John Marshall Maniacs (2023 Rank: 2)
For awhile, I kept flipping the Maniacs between the 1 and 2 spot in the rankings. They have had high praise by local media and I see why. We’ll see if they can market and promote the voting in the National Football Student Section playoffs!
- Hoover Dawgpound (2023 Rank: 5)
The Dawgpound packed the stands and work some social media promoting magic to get them another Top 5 finish. We’ll see if they can market and promote the voting in the National Football Student Section playoffs!
- George Washington (2023 Rank: 30)
This Student Section can be a messy one, but they love to have fun. George Washington makes the big jump from the 30 spot to the Top 5.
- Princeton Tiger Cage (2023 Rank: 7)
The Tiger Cage packed the stands and love their country as you can tell with the Red, White and Blue.
