The school year and the fall sports season is underway, but for us, the Student Section season is underway!

We are so excited to kickoff the new Student Section season. This is my 10th season covering Student Sections and my 5th season covering the US and the hype keeps getting better and better.

We have four states that are kicking off this week and have 21 more states kicking off next week! We are going to be busy next week!

Something we haven’t done since 2021 is spotlighting a Student Section or highlighting a Student Section with two schools like a big rivalry!

GEORGIA

Elbert County @ Hart County Dogpound (STUDENT SECTION SPOTLIGHT OF THE WEEK)

The Hart County Dogpound had a fantastic year last year and I’m expecting a lot more from them this year as they will now look to battle for the top spot in the state. I’m sure I’ll see them on Instagram as they love to promote their Student Section. Can’t wait to see what unfolds on Friday!

ALASKA

Juneau-Douglas @ Service

For a couple of seasons, we only found post of Student Section themes, but had a very hard time finding actual videos/photos of Student Sections. That changed when we saw Service’s Student Section rocking it at a football game. They’re the big favorite to repeat at number one in Alaska.

HAWAII

Castle @ ‘Aiea

Special thanks to ESPN Hololulu (@espnhololulu on Instagram) for showcasing our Preseason Student Section Rankings. We got a lot of love (and some less love) from fans, but the love totally outweighted everything else, so much love back.

One school that was mentioned in the comment section was ‘Aiea. They love the reconigition despite what they say is a smaller Student Section. It’s not the size of the Student Section, it’s the rowdiness and the noise and it sounds to me this is a Student Section that can make up for the small numbers with an extra dose of crazy! Hope to see that on Instagram!

NEVADA

Bishop Manogue Goldmine @ McQueen

The defending Winter National Student Section Champions won’t have to travel far as they try to take over McQueen home, but while we haven’t seen much from McQueen on Instagram, we have seen them in the past and I know they have a pretty good Student Section! This could be a good Student Section battle. Would be a bonus if we got to see videos and photos of it.
