Birdville (2024 Rank: NR) Trying to get the Student Section Rankings accurate in Texas is one of our most difficult feats, but we always end up discovering some new and amazing Student Section and this Winter, we discovered Birdville! One of the biggest Winter Student Sections in the state and we gave them a shot in the vote for the best Winter Student Section in the state as the eighth and final seed. Birdville made a run and took the top spot and a chance to battle for the National Winter Student Section Title! 2024-25 ARKANSAS WINTER STUDENT SECTION TOP 25 RANKINGS Jonesboro Dawgpound (Last Year Rank: 8) I recall chatting with the Dawgpound a couple years ago and I felt this would be a special group, but they stopped showing off their Student Section on social media (a requirement in order to be recognized as one of the best). This put the Dawgpound on the outside, but that changed this winter! The Dawgpound had a great Student Section and they weren't afraid to show it off. They had a top notch team on the court that attracted more Students to the game! The Dawgpound I first remembered is back! They may not be the largest Student Section, but showing off their Student Section more than others in this state that got them recognized. We'll see how they'll fare...

We had 10 Student Section of the Week winners in West Virginia and that helped us determine who had the best Student Section and which ones wanted it more. Just showing up in large crowds isn’t enough. It might fool other outlets that don’t cover Student Sections, but not us. We have to know how bad you want it and marketing is key.  You will see top-notch Student Sections miss out at the top spot, but we kept saying it over and over and over again, in order to be considered number one, you have to win the Student Section of the Week...

In 2015, yours truly began covering Student Sections in Orange County, California. We expanded to Southern California in 2017 and in 2021, we added four more states and added 15 more states. We went to 40 states two years ago. We went to all 50 states in winter of 2023. No one has ever done that before…until now! This is still a one-man operation for the most part, but we have some help with some partners on Instagram like OC Student Sections, Stadium Geeks, Maryland Student Section Rater, NorCal Student Sections and many more. I know that Student Sections have a lot of work to do to get the students to the games to cheer on their classmates and go along with the theme and make sure they don’t cause trouble.
