In 2015, yours truly began covering Student Sections in Orange County, California. We expanded to Southern California in 2017 and in 2021, we added four more states and added 15 more states. We went to 40 states two years ago. We went to all 50 states in winter of 2023 and now we add our friends from the North in Canada on top of dividing Texas into two regions, similar to what we did with California. No one has ever done that before…until now! Dakota Valley Pit Crew (2024 Rank: 1) Safe to say that when it comes to the Winter portion of our rankings for North Dakota that Dakota Valley Pit Crew is a for sure thing for number 1!! This is a three-peat! The Pit Crew stands alone when it comes to promoting their Student Section on social media! They look like they have an amazing energy and now it seems they may also have a tradition to uphold every year. Red River (2024 Rank: 1) Red River is always in battle for the top Student Section spot in North Dakota. They have deserve that reputation thanks to their amazing social media game. They love to show off their school spirit on Instagram! They pack the stands and it seems like they're ready to go during hockey season. Mill Valley (2024 Rank: 6) This Student Section wanted the top spot in Kansas and it helps to have a basketball with some thrilling buzzer beating finishes, including one that went viral, which in return the Mill Valley Student Section rushed the court.
