The 21st episode of the Student Section Report Podcast! While 21 is a milestone for many, for podcasts, it’s just another notch on the podcast belt.
During this podcast, Manny gets well wishes from Villa Park and Connor Morrisette of Scorebook Live in regards to his father battling COVID-19 while Manny has an emotional message in the final segment about the COVID-19 situation and the situation that has affected his family.
Manny Alvarez talks to co-host Chris Hulme talk to Commissioner of Spirit Nathan Pham, Ambassador of Student Involvement Jake Brandenburger of the Villa Park Black Pack/Blue Crew as well as Visual and Performing Arts Commissioner Miles Corradino of the Villa Park Marching Spartans (not Marching Saints, which I mentioned five times, sorry about that VP Band!)
We discuss the challenge they faced during the football season with their home stadium under construction while also changing the culture at Villa Park with the help of the Spartans Administration.
We also talk to Connor Morrisette of Scorebook Live about the COVID-19 deeply affecting the Los Angeles area as well as the changes in the journalism world and the challenges with Scorebook Live while discussing the Student Section game in the Los Angeles region.
Chris and Manny also talk about the big change coming next week to SoCal Student Sections. Let’s just say that title will be a thing of the past! Stay tuned!
