You guys are the Arizona Student Section of the Week. What did it take to stand out as one of the best in Arizona?

Dawgpound: This year we wanted to change the dynamic of the Dawgpound and that has helped us stand out as one of the best Instead of students only caring about what was happening in the student section we wanted to get everyone involved in the game to support our football boys!

What is the most memorable game you have ever attended as a member of the Dawgpound?

Dawgpound: The most memorable game this season has been our Homecoming game when we beat Perry!

Favorite theme?

Dawgpound: Our favorite theme has been “Construction Destruction” because it was unique and so fun!

Favorite chant?

Dawgpound: After every game, the players come stand in front of the student section, raise their helmets and we sing the Queen Creek fight song. It has always been a tradition and we love it.

Outside of you guys, is there one student section that you have seen or heard about where you think, “Man, that is a good student section?”

Dawgpound: One student section we were impressed with was Liberty. Their stands were packed!

This is not a one-person operation. We know a lot of people took a part in this. Who would you like to thank for making the Dawgpound the best this week?

Dawgpound: We want to recognize Meredith Evans for really caring about getting everyone involved, she does so much to bring up the spirit and hype! We also want to thank all of the students that show up and support us, we love you Dawgs!

Other Nominees: Desert Vista Storm Troopers of Phoenix, Chaparral Birdcage of Scottsdale, Saguaro Zoo of Scottsdale

You guys are the Northern California Student Section of the Week. What did it take to stand out as one of the best in Northern California?

Clovis: The Clovis High student section really stands out among other student sections because of our incredible student involvement and dedication. Students are always extremely excited to attend our sporting events because they know that the student section is a fun and welcoming place for them to go. This ensures that our students are involved and want to help make our student section the way it is.

What is the most memorable game you have ever attended as a member of the Clovis Student Section?

Clovis: Whenever we have a game against our rival school, Clovis West, it is always an exciting time. Specifically our game against Clovis West in 2019 was very memorable because we beat them in a thriller and the student section was a huge help in cheering on the players.

Favorite theme?

Clovis: Our favorite theme would have to be our pink out. The reason we enjoy this theme is because we are able to use very bright colors, making our stadium very visually appealing. This theme is also  our favorite because we are supporting breast cancer awareness.

Favorite chant?

Clovis: Our favorite chant is our traditional “GO BIG BLUE” chant. This chant is the easiest way to get our student section involved and ensure that we are louder than ever.

Outside of you guys, is there one student section that you have seen or heard about where you think, “Man, that is a good student section?”

Clovis: One student section outside of Northern California that we admire is Carlsbad High School. We believe that they have great student commitment and they also use great themes and ideas to improve their student section.

This is not a one-person operation. We know a lot of people took a part in this. Who would you like to thank for making the Clovis Student Section the best this week?

Clovis: First, we would like to give a huge shoutout to our student body for always being so committed to showing up and making our student section the best place it can be. We would also like to thank our student section leaders, Owen Lachs and Aubrey Pope, as well as Dylan Harrell for filling in when one of the leaders was absent. Lastly, we would like to thank our band and cheer for helping to cheer on our players and also giving us music that goes along with our student section.

You guys are the SoCal Student Section of the Week. What did it take to stand out as one of the best in SoCal?

Red Zone: It really took the student of Murrieta Valley to go all out. They are the ones who made it possible. The students go and support our school at games and events.

What is the most memorable game you have ever attended as a member of the Red Zone?

Red Zone: I would have to say that the rivalry week game was the most memorable. Since we still had an amazing Red Zone and we were able to beat our rivals.

Favorite theme?

Red Zone: Favorite theme would be the Blackout. It was a lot of fun when we did it since most kids wear black. It’s a very easy and fun theme to do for a game.

Favorite chant?

Red Zone: Favorite chant would be our 8-count. It’s a super easy chant and a lot of fun. Everyone participates when we do it.

Outside of you guys, is there one student section that you have seen or heard about where you think, “Man, that is a good student section?”

Red Zone: I would have to say the San Clemente Loud Crowd. There student section is always so much fun and they have a lot of spirit.

This is not a one-person operation. We know alot of people took a part in this. Who would you like to thank for making the Red Zone the best this week?

Red Zone: We would like to thank the students of Murrieta Valley because without all of them this wouldn’t of been possible. They are the ones who go to the game and support their fellow Nighthawks.
