STUDENT SECTIONS OF THE WEEK (SEPT. 1-3, 2022)

41 Winners in 40 states this past week. The voting was not as insane as last week, but it was awesome to see 16,560 votes. We thank you for that!

While we had 41 winners across the country, one Student Section came away with 1,562 votes in the Southern California region, the Great Oak Red Wave.

The Red Wave packs the house on any day of the week, for example; Thursday night. I’ve seen this Student Section in person and they’re insane. Half the stadium is all theirs.

The Red Wave hosted Shadow Hills and they came prepared just in case the Shadow Hills Dungeon would make an appearance. Unfortunately, the Dungeon was not there, so we didn’t see a Student Section showdown.

The Red Wave went to the voting polls and narrowly beat out the Redondo Union Flock of Southern California (1,280 votes), Northside Nest of Georgia (786 votes), Olentangy Berlin of Ohio (755 votes), South Oldham Dragons Lair of Kentucky (497 votes). The Great Oak Red Wave is the National Student Section of the Week!

“We are so excited to have won SoCal Football Student Section of the Week AND the National Football Student Section of the Week!!” the Red Wave said in a statement. “That is crazy!!! We truly feel that we were capable of obtaining the best in the US this week by being united with our student body. It took the effort of students and our staff to spread the word to vote. We also utilized our school social media accounts and personal social media accounts to encourage voting amongst our student body.”
