Week One So Cal Student Section of the Week: Los Altos Conqueror Crazies (8/31/18)

After over 2000 votes in last week Twitter poll, the Los Altos Conqueror Crazies shut the polls down in a lopsided victory for the Southern California Student Section of the week.

Fin fact; this is the second straight week our student section of the week starts with a Los. Good news for the Los Alamitos Goonsquad this Friday.

It should be no surprise as the Conqueror Crazies have always been one of the best student sections in the Los Angeles area. This is the first time I have had the opportunity to name Los Altos the So Cal Student Section of the Week.

The Conqueror Crazies had three big time opponents in Southern California. They are top notch student sections, but Los Altos of Hacienda Heights took control of the voting section.

After the Los Osos Grizzlies took the SoCal Student Section of the week title last week after representing the Inland Empire, it was the Great Oak Red Wave that repped the IE. The Red Wave is always a loud student section and nothing was different in Great Oak of Temecula 20-7 victory over King of Riverside.

The Servite Asylum has always been the top dawg in the Orange County student section area. They hold the blueprints and they have been consistent every year. With Servite of Anaheim down 32-14 at halftime to Norco, the Friars made a second half comeback and I am sure The Asylum played a big part in that comeback as Servite came back to beat the Cougars 38-32. The Asylum, like the Friars, cruised in the second half…well they surfed their way in the second half as they went with a beach theme on Friday and were actually surfing in the aisles of the stadium. Credo Asylum, Credo.

Torrey Pines Chaos has a big game on their hands on Friday, taking on San Clemente. Torrey Pines of San Diego was in a battle and they hung on and defeated the Tritons 37-35. The Chaos was large and in charge, cheering the entire game while getting their reward in the end. The Falcons took the victory and so did The Chaos took the San Diego Student Section of the week.

In the end though, it was the Conqueror Crazies that repped Los Angeles and repped their Conqueror Blue on Friday in Los Altos 35-0 victory over rival Wilson of Hacienda Heights. The win meant that Los Altos got to keep “The Wheel”, a trophy given to the winner of the crosstown rivalry winner.

Los Altos was just winning all Friday, which is why they were named the Southern California Student Section of the Week.
