2018 San Diego Football Student Section Top 20 Rankings
Out of the four regions in Southern California, this is the most even one when it comes to student sections.
We have two student section that can switch off in the top spot at anytime, but in the end it was the student section rocking the purple.
This week will end with the SoCal Top 25 Student Section Rankings on Friday, so for the top half of the student section, be ready, you might be on that list too.
Now, we will return with student section hoopla in January for the basketball student section, but always show us love on Twitter (@SoCalSections) and start letting us know who has the best Basketball Student Section in the OC and SoCal.
Now, let’s crown our winner!
2018 SAN DIEGO FOOTBALL STUDENT SECTION TOP 20 RANKINGS
1. CARLSBAD (THE LOUD CROWD)
So is The Loud Crowd a student section or some sort of unique dance club? It’s a party in Carlsbad when the ball kicks off.
The Loud Crowd isn’t just a clever, this is a loud bunch and they don’t need the extra boost, but the streamers, the baby powder, the fog machine and the music makes it even better.
Loud Crowd. That’s it.

The Loud Crowd had one really tough competitor, but let the Purple Reign this football season as the Loud Crowd takes the 2018 SoCal Student Section San Diego Football title!
Will they take the 2018 SoCal title? We’ll find out!
2. TORREY PINES OF SAN DIEGO (CHAOS)
The Chaos isn’t just a clever name and yes, I have used that line twice now.
The Chaos have caused a ruckus this season and they have also possibly played a factor in the Falcons undefeated season. The Loud noise and the insanity was in attendance at every home game.
Is there anything better than a packed house for Homecoming? Nope. Way to represent @TPCHAOS Let's get loud for @TPFB_2018 pic.twitter.com/ddGp5w6Wy1

With a bullseye on Torrey Pines back, expect The Chaos to turn it up a notch as the title goes through Torrey Pines.
3. CATHEDRAL CATHOLIC OF SAN DIEGO (LOS LOCOS)
Los Locos was just that this season, crazy! They can fill up the seats and with a fantastic season from the Dons are having. Los Locos are loud and proud, which is perfect for the Open Division playoffs.

4. ST. AUGUSTINE OF SAN DIEGO (SAINTS PIT)
The Saints Pit is a loud bunch and fills the stands. If someone challenges The Pit, you will probably lose. The Pit is a crazy group of kids and have battled in the stands with the best of the them. In return, the Saints have given them another fantastic season.
5. SAN MARCOS (THE BLUE CREW)
The Blue Crew shows up in full for their Knights. There’s good reason for that, San Marcos is 8-1 and in the semifinals of the CIF-SDS Open Division. I just hope the stands can stay strong because The Blue Crew rocks and shakes them up pretty bad.

6. LA COSTA CANYON OF CARLSBAD (THE STAMPEDE)
When you have Karson Lippert and company on your side, you can bet you dollar that the Stampede will bring in the noise.
La Costa Canyon always brings it for their home games and should keep the noise going in the postseason.
7. EASTLAKE OF CHULA VISTA (TITAN ARMY)
The Titan Army had another big year in the stands and why not? So did the Eastlake Titans, who are 9-1 are heavy favorites to win the CIF-SDS Division II title. Expect the Loud Crowd to go nuts in the postseason.
8. MISSION HILLS OF SAN MARCOS (GROWL CROWD)
Despite a tough season for the Grizzlies, The Growl Crowd stood by their team. Well, they didn’t stand with their team, they go nuts next to their team. The Grizzlies and the Growl Crowd won’t go down quietly in the playoffs.
9. POWAY (TITAN TERRORS)
This student section definitely terrorized several student sections. Monkey see, monkey do as the Titans did the same thing this season on the football field. Both the Titan Terrors and the Titans will look to make splash in the playoffs.
10. MADISON OF SAN DIEGO (THE NEST)
You have to have a solid student section if you’re called the Warhawks. Good thing this student section can back up that tough name. These Warhawks cheered on and enjoyed another great season from Madison.
11. HELIX OF LA MESA (DAWGPOUND)
It’s been a challenging season for the Scots and the same for the Dawgpound. Regardless, this is still a great student section and the same goes to their football squad.
12. RANCHO BERNARDO OF SAN DIEGO (STAMPEDE)
A much improved season for the Broncos and that should always be a boost for your student section. Good or bad, the Stampede always shows up for their football team.
13. GROSSMONT OF EL CAJON FOOTHILLERS
When it comes to big games, this student section always shows up and in large numbers for their Foothillers.
14. LINCOLN OF SAN DIEGO (THE HIVE)
Lincoln succeeded with a tough schedule and I’m sure the Hive played a factor with their support for the football team.
15. OCEANSIDE PIRATES
Oceanside took on the challenge of a very tough Avocado League and their student sailed with them in support.
16. RAMONA (DAWGPOUND)
It’s been another fantastic year for the Bulldogs and another fun season from their student section.
17. CORONADO (TIKI SQUAD)
The Tiki Squad are good sports and like the student section above them were treated with a playoff appearance by the Islanders.
18. WESTVIEW OF SAN DIEGO (BLACKHOLE)
The Blackhole is a student section you should never mess with. They stand by their football team.
19. MT. CARMEL OF SAN DIEGO (RED SEA)
It was a tough season for Mt. Carmel, but the Red Sea is supportive and has always been a top student section in San Diego every year.
20. EL CAMINO OF OCEANSIDE (GROWL CROWD)
This is a rowdy student section and you know they showed a ton of love for the Wildcats despite a tough year.
