Orange County Top 20 Football Student Section Rankings

Orange County kicks off the Football Student Section Rankings.

This week will end with the SoCal Top 25 Student Section Rankings on Friday, so for the top half of the student section, be ready, you might be on that list too.

Now, we will return with student section hoopla in January for the basketball student section, but always show us love on Twitter (@SoCalSections) and start letting us know who has the best Basketball Student Section in the OC and SoCal.

Now, let’s crown our winner!

THE SOCAL STUDENT SECTION 2018 ORANGE COUNTY TOP 20 FOOTBALL STUDENT SECTION RANKINGS

1. VILLA PARK (THE BLACK PACK)

The Black Pack packed the stands at every home game, but what was more impressive was their road trips. The Black Pack were road warriors. No trip was too far for them, even on 3-day weekend where traffic is a problem in Southern California.

No streamers, no fog machines, or baby powder was needed as Fred Kelly Stadium wouldn’t permit it. The Black Pack had a disadvantage and still rocked it better than anyone.

The Black Pack, which was the only OC Student Section to win the SoCal Student Section of the Week will now see if they’re the 2018 SoCal Football Student Section of the year, but for now, the Black Pack is the Orange County Football Student Section Champion of 2018.

2. LOS ALAMITOS (LOS LOCOS)

Los Locos was just that, crazy! No one rocks a better roller coaster than Los Locos. They have also parted the red sea. Not the actual red sea but the sea of red in the stands. Los Locos have also shown love for their local reporters with cardboard cut-outs.

Los Locos always rocks it and it was tough to keep them out of the top spot.

3. CAPISTRANO VALLEY OF MISSION VIEJO (THE CAGE)

The Cage sure loves the baby powder. It seemed every week they had a different color of baby powder. The streamers made several appearances as well. The Cage rocked it and has been the top South Orange County student section this year. This will definitely shift well for basketball season.

4. SERVITE OF ANAHEIM (THE ASYLUM)

The Asylum is one of the premier student sections in Southern California. A band of brothers had the most unique themes.

The Asylum went to the moon surfed it up, they hit the weight room and went with a pink out on top of their school colors.

This student section is on another level during basketball. Be ready. Credo!

5. SANTA MARGARITA OF RANCHO SANTA MARGARITA (EAGLES NEST)

If you are the visiting team, you have to face two teams. The Santa Margarita Eagles and the Eagles Nest. They’re a different type of student section.

The Eagles Nest loves to rock either a sea of white or a sea of blue, but the house is packed every home game.

6. IRVINE (THE FRONTIER)

The Frontier is the most improved student section in Southern California. They have become a top student section in Orange County. The baby powder, the roller coaster and the loud noises is always impressive and the Frontier have stayed the course with the best of them.

7. JSERRA OF SAN JUAN CAPISTRANO (LIONS DEN)

The Den is loud, but that is probably because of they random instruments they bring. Trash can bins are a good instrument. The Lions Den are enjoying the greatest football season in JSerra history.

8. NORTHWOOD OF IRVINE (THE DEN)

The Den has improved this year and so has the Timberwolves. The Den didn’t just consist of just the students, the band was all over it as well.

9. ST. MARGARET’S OF SAN JUAN CAPISTRANO (THE KITCHEN)

The Kitchen is one of the best small school student section in Southern California and they might be one the weirdest ones too. The Kitchen makes the best of their name by doing a halftime show where condiments run around the field. Despite a small enrollment, the student pack in and handle their own.

10. LA HABRA (THE CLAN)

The Clan enjoyed filling up the stand in their brand new stadium, but they have been doing that when they had their old stadium. The Clan is also a fan of the streamers, but they don’t need any extra help, the Highlanders have given them plenty to cheer about with another Freeway League title.

11. EL MODENA OF ORANGE (THE ROWDY ROOTERS)

Sometimes when your team is losing by a lot, the student section fizzles and it’s understandable. That is not the case for the Rowdy Rooters, which cheered as loud as they can despite a lopsided game earlier this season. Much respect to the Rowdy Rooters.

12. CORONA DEL MAR OF NEWPORT BEACH (KINGS KREW)

The Kings Krew got off to a slow start, but they finished strong and we expect them to make more noise during the playoffs.

13. SAN CLEMENTE (LOUD CROWD)

I’m sure the Loud Crowd enjoyed that big victory over Mission Viejo to take the South Coast League title. If they can work the social media market, they will get the recognition needed to move up.

14. MISSION VIEJO (DIABLO INFERNO)

The Diablo Inferno has every reason to go nuts since they have one of the better football programs in the southland year in and year out.

15. SAN JUAN HILLS OF SAN JUAN CAPISTRANO (THE STAMPEDE)

This student section stampeded from the start and have enjoyed every minute of it, including a Sea View League title.

16. TESORO OF RANCHO SANTA MARGARITA (TITAN ARMY)

The Titan Army blew it up this year and the Titans returned the favor with a strong showing this season.

17. EL DORADO OF PLACENTIA (HAWKS NEST)

The Hawks Nest covered the stands in black and yellow every home game. This is another student section that sticks with their football team after a challenging season.

18. DANA HILLS OF DANA POINT (POD SQUAD)

The Pod Squad stuck by the Dolphins side this year and they brought help from the nearby schools in the school district. Very impressive.

19. MATER DEI OF SANTA ANA (THE DEN)

The Mater Dei Den rocks the student section in big time games, including the Monarchs victory over IMG Academy of Bradenton, Florida.

20. VALENCIA OF PLACENTIA (THE TIGERS DEN)

The Den enjoyed the return of ‘The Bell’ and an Empire League title.
