SoCal Student Sections of the Week (02/07/2020): Etiwanda Red Zone
The Etiwanda Red Zone said they would make it up to me when I showed up on last Tuesday.
They kept their promise.
This is definitely better than a roller coaster. Well done Red Zone!@asbEtiwanda @EtiwandaRed @etiwandanews @EHSAthletics @sa_etiwanda @EtiwandaB pic.twitter.com/aCIdrrE66q

The Etiwanda Red Zone, like other student sections, had their studies to focus on midweek, but by the time Friday came along, the Red Zone showed up and packed the gym when the Eagles hosted Upland in a Baseline League matchup.
While the Eagles had a lopsided lead against Upland, the Red Zone kept the noise at a high and went wild as Etiwanda kept the wins rolling in.

The Red Zone performance was enough to be the Inland Empire Student Section of the Week, but the Red Zone wasn’t done.
The SoCal Student Section of the week voting began and the Red Zone battled and after close to 1,300 votes, the Red Zone took the SoCal title for this week.
Not a bad way to redeem yourself!
Here are the other nominees in Southern California;

SAN MARCOS PRIDE: San Marcos of Santa Barbara has crashed the student section party and made a huge impression not only in the Los Angeles Region, but in Southern California.
The Royals faced Dos Pueblos of Goleta in an important Channel League matchup and the Pride went wild.
A unique human roller coaster was just the tip of the iceberg as this loud student section enjoyed a huge lopsided victory from San Marcos.
Hopefully, this won’t be the last we see of the Pride.
This just happened! #HeckYeahRoyals pic.twitter.com/FiWRMYEOZw

ORANGE COUNTY STUDENT SECTION OF THE WEEK
?IT’S SILENT NIGHT IN THE DEN? The Den stayed COMPLETELY silent until our team’s 8th point in honor of Kobe Bryant and the 8 other lives lost in the tragedy on Sunday morning?? @MAlvarez02 @SoCalSections @ocvarsity @SteveFryer #ocvfans @espn @ESPNLosAngeles #espntop10 pic.twitter.com/Tm6M1uGja4

NORTHWOOD DEN: This student section is a rowdy one and more so with the location of this student section.
Northwood of Irvine student section sits behind the backboard, so if the opposing player is at the free throw line, good luck.
The Den is loud and rowdy and packed the stands this year as the Timberwolves battled for a playoff spot. Nothing was different on Friday when Northwood hosted Portola of Irvine in a key Pacific Coast League battle.
This was a student section battle against the Portola Dogpound, but Northwood protected their home despite a tough loss to the Bulldogs.
While Northwood is battling, the Den still keeps showing up and showing love to the Timberwolves.
Here’s a reason why you should vote for The Den? pic.twitter.com/kj2vtx3xXJ

MISSION HILLS GROWL CROWD: The Growl Crowd had a big week last week with two home games in a tough Avocado-West League.
The Grizzlies battled against Carlsbad and with the help of the Growl Crowd, that game went into double overtime.
The Growl Crowd brought their A game and showed off their school spirit with loud noises and rattling chants. Despite the loss, it was an impressive showing.
Mission Hills next opponent came to the Grizzlies turf two days later in La Costa Canyon of Carlsbad.
The Growl Crowd picked up where they left off and handled business despite the tough loss to the Mavericks.
The Growl Crowd is making their case for San Diego Basketball Student Section of the Year.
