Student Sections of the Week (Sept. 21-26, 2020)

28 States were up for the Student Section of the Week title. This one-man show of researching for nominees all over the US became a bit overwhelming.

Don’t worry, I can figure this out with two new states joining the party next week.

Two states joined the party this week in South Carolina and Wisconsin.

After an estimated 175,000 votes two weeks ago and 85,000 votes last week, the Student Section faithful kept the spirit alive with an estimated 40,000 votes this week, most of it being from the state of Georgia and Indiana We want to thank all of you for voting! This is a WE thing and to put Student Sections on the map, we have to do our part and you certainly did that.

To the ones that lost in a heartbreak, don’t worry, we have several more weeks of this and we potentially have a National Bracket for the best Fall Student Section of 2020!

Out of the 28 States that had Fall sports this past week, two of them only had one nominee, which meant they had a winner by default. Five states didn’t have a nominee.

Let’s try to get more than 40,000 votes next week guys!

Some Student Sections were at minimum capacity while others used alternatives like showing their support on social media or a watch party at the school. Whatever works to show off your rowdy school spirit!

Since this is our first year covering student sections all over the country, we are still not familiar with all the student sections, which hurt for states that don’t have a large number of high schools.

Anywho, here are the Student Section Report Student Section of the Week!
