STUDENT SECTIONS OF THE WEEK (SEPT. 9-13, 2025)
The Football Student Section season is well underway! 42 states played some football with their Student Sections cheering them on.
Some states were had winners that showed off their Student Section, others didn’t, so we went with a different route, whoever promoted the game with a theme for the Student Section. Hopefully, we can avoid that route!
Once you win Student Section of the Week for your home state, you can’t win it again, but you still qualify to win the National Student Section of the Week at some other point. Once you win that, you can’t qualify to win another one.
However, for this week’s National Student Section of the Week Winner, they’ll get a chance to win their home state!
Now once you win, it doesn’t mean tagging us of sending videos and photos of your Student Sections comes to an end because we still have the end of the season rankings and you have to make a very strong case for the top spot in your state!
We will go with who I felt was the best Student Section in the state by what I saw on Instagram!
We had some fantastic Student Sections this past week, but we had to go with one Student Section for the National Football Student Section of the Week.
As mentioned, we had some solid Student Sections. Three of them came to mind for the National Student Section of the Week, but one of them wasn’t even on our radar as far as the National circuit goes.
Man, the state of Illinois dominated this past weekend. This isn’t that much of a surprise as this state is super deep. Two of the three finalists are from Illinois while our National Student Section of the Week winner is also from the Prairie State.
Lincoln Way West has been a lock for the Top 10 in the Illinois Student Section every year. We see them, but at some point they have to be on top of the state. Tough thing to do with so man great Student Sections in Illinois.
The Warriors hosted Andrew last Friday and Lincoln Way West showed up with some bright neon colors, possibly to distract their opponent.
Lincoln Way West was loud and not afraid to show it off on social media as they packed the stands and went wild!
Lincoln Way West will continue to show off in the stands and on social media as they look to lock a top spot in the state rankings in hopes to get a spot in the Student Section playoffs.
Nobody on the field or in the stands for Lincoln Way West took an L on Friday as they took the 17-7 victory over the Thunderbirds!
While Maine South of Illinois, St. Charles North Blue Fan Group of Illinois and Grand Oaks Grizzlyville of Texas had amazing showings in the stands, Lincoln Way West just had that little extra as they’re the National Fall Student Section of the Week!
