STUDENT SECTIONS OF THE WEEK (SEPT. 30-OCT 4, 2025)
The Football Student Section season is well underway! All 50 states played some football with their Student Sections cheering them on.
Some states were had winners that showed off their Student Section, others didn’t, so we went with a different route, whoever promoted the game with a theme for the Student Section. Hopefully, we can avoid that route!
Once you win Student Section of the Week for your home state, you can’t win it again, but you still qualify to win the National Student Section of the Week at some other point. Once you win that, you can’t qualify to win another one.
However, for this week’s National Student Section of the Week Winner, they’ll get a chance to win their home state!
Now once you win, it doesn’t mean tagging us of sending videos and photos of your Student Sections comes to an end because we still have the end of the season rankings and you have to make a very strong case for the top spot in your state!
We will go with who I felt was the best Student Section in the state by what I saw on Instagram!
We had some fantastic Student Sections this past week, but we had to go with one Student Section for the National Football Student Section of the Week.
When we talk about which state has the best Student Sections, several come to mind and one of those states is Indiana!
What helps the Student Section scene in Indiana is due in part to WISH-TV 8 in Indianapolis with “The Zone8 Banner” where the best Student Section in Indianapolis gets a Championship Banner. They have built a something special in the area and the state.
It also helps that I am a huge fan of the “These Guys” podcast and they always mention a few high schools in Indiana. I love how they mention some of the Student Sections as well. Actually, they mention the schools, but I immediately think of the Student Sections.
One Student Section both media outlets mention is Fishers Tiger Cage. They’ve been a consistent power in Indiana and now the Nation!
This past week, they hosted Franklin Central in a Pink Out game. The Tiger Cage was decked out in Pink and ready to rumble in the stands
The Tiger Cage was needed on Friday as the game became a thriller. Fishers was in a close one and thankfully had a 12th Man helping out in the stands as the Tiger Cage was filled up with noise!
While Fishers wants the Banner as the best Student Section in Indianapolis, they want to be Student Section Fall National Champions as well. The Tiger Cage made a solid case on Friday.
Fishers gave everyone an exciting show as they snuck by with a 36-35 overtime victory over the Flashes.
While the Baylor of Tennessee, Independence Indy Nation of Tennessee and Ralston Valley of Colorado had amazing showings in the stands, it wasn’t enough as the Fishers Tiger Cage is you’re National Fall Student Section of the Week!
“It takes a ton of hard work. Hours before, during, and after school. Our whole group is dedicated and stays motivated to give the best experience to our student body. We all have a ton of fun but get the work done when needed. We all look forward to the feeling of knowing we were the ones who were able to provide our students and peers with the experience of a Friday night at Fishers which is unlike any other.“
