- 2025 ARKANSAS FALL TOP 40 STUDENT SECTION PRESEASON RANKINGS
In 2015, yours truly began covering Student Sections in Orange County, California. We expanded to Southern California in 2017 and in 2021, we added four more states and added 15 more states. We went to 40 states two years ago.
We went to all 50 states in winter of 2023 and now we add our friends from the North in Canada on top of dividing Texas into two regions, similar to what we did with California. No one has ever done that before…until now!
This is still a one-man operation for the most part, but we have some help with some partners on Instagram like good friends at OC Student Sections and Stadium Geeks with help from Maryland Student Section Rater, NorCal Student Sections and many more.
This year we plan to get several “barstool” pages that showcase Student Sections in their states. Some of those pages were very helpful last year as we get more accurate with our rankings.
I know that Student Sections have a lot of work to do to get the students to the games to cheer on their classmates and go along with the theme and make sure they don’t cause trouble. These student sections deserve recognition.
This past season, we several more Student Sections, including some big powerhouse ones that not only will be a top dawg in their state, but will be a big player in the National side!
We will kick off the Student Section season with Preseason Football Student Section Rankings. REMEMBER, this is a PREVIEW. It is merely a prediction. The real rankings come out in November or December.
If you feel your student section isn’t ranked high enough or not ranked at all, let us know and we’ll keep a close eye on them.
Every week, we will also have Student Section of the Week for each state. Once you win Student Section of the Week, you can’t win it again, but you still have to battle for the top spot in your state and perhaps the Nation as we will also name a Football Student Section National Champion.
We continue with the 2025 Fall Student Section Season with a preview of Arkansas.
Last year was a difficult one when it came to looking for the best Student Sections in this state, but we may have found a new power while the recent two powers took a break. If those two make a return along with this new power, then this state will see a battle for number one.
Last Football season, we had the Fayetteville Dawgpound as the top Football Student Section in Arkansas. The Dawgpound looked like one of the craziest Student Sections in the state, but it will take some more crazy and even more work by promoting their Student Section on Instagram in order to repeat as the state Student Section Champs.
In each state, we will name one student section to look out for. A student section that while they aren’t ranked super high or weren’t ranked high last year, they’re a Student Section to lookout for and for Arkansas, it’s Magnolia. We knew of this Student Section, but we really got to know them this past Winter and they look like the new top Student Section in the state. Hopefully, this is a Student Section that is a powerhouse all season.
Will Magnolia be the new power in the state or will the Dawgpound defend their top ranking in The Razorback State? Let’s find out.
2025 ARKANSAS FALL TOP 40 STUDENT SECTION PRESEASON RANKINGS
- Bentonville West Den (2024 Rank: 2)
The Den has always been a strong contender for the top spot in the state when it comes to Student Sections. I felt if they didn’t skip a beat last year, they would end up at the top, but the Den last year didn’t really show off their Student Section as much on Instagram, thus ending near the top once again. If the Den goes back to promoting their Student Section on social media, then they will end up on top where they belong!

If we divided California into two regions in Souther California and Northern California, then how come we don’t do the same for big bad Texas? We are based from Southern California and know the ins and outs of SoCal when it comes to Student Sections. We are still trying to fully figure out the Student Section scene in Texas, but we have found some Student Sections. This will be a challenge, but we expect to grow a lot this year and hopefully we can get a lot of exposure in Texas where making rankings in two regions isn’t as easy as we think.
In each state, we will name one student section to look out for. A student section that while they aren’t ranked super high or weren’t ranked high last year, they’re a Student Section to lookout for and for Southwest Texas, it’s Boerne. This Student Section was pretty good in 2023, but they disappeared from Instagram last season. They had their theme announcements, but that was it. We hope to see this Student Section on Instagram because they have potential to be the best in this region.
Will Boerne sneak by and take over this region or will we have a Texas power taking over in the Southwest of The Lone Star State? Let’s find out.
2025 SOUTHWEST TEXAS FALL TOP 40 STUDENT SECTION PRESEASON RANKINGS
- Central Catholic (2024 Texas Rank: 4)
This was one of the top dawgs in the Student Section in Texas last year and now with dividing the state into two regions, this will be the Student Section to watchout for. They’re loud, large and crazy as ever. If they can work a solid social media game and promote their Student Section on Instagram, they’ll be on top by season’s end.

A smaller Student Section compared to some of the big powers, but they have a much better social media game than most in this new region and while we figure this region out, Texas City can take advantage of it and finish at a great spot in the rankings. This is a fun Student Section and one we have collaborated with in the past.

This is one of the deeper states when it comes to Student Sections. We found so many Student Sections last season and we hope to find more in 2025. One of the best states when it comes to Student Sections is Missouri.
One unfortunate situation this yea is the loss of the Central Football program, thus putting a pause on the Central Dawgpound. We hope to see them at other Fall Sporting events. They’re still in this race!
Last Football season, we had the Rockhurst as the top Football Student Section in Missouri. We had a hard time finding this Student Section and were told by word-of-mouth about them. We finally found some photos and were impressed. Hopefully we see more of them in 2025.
In each state, we will name one student section to look out for. A student section that while they aren’t ranked super high or weren’t ranked high last year, they’re a Student Section to lookout for and for Missouri, it’s the Park Hill. Thanks to someone on Instagram, they told us to give this Student Section a look and they look pretty impressive. We hope they impress us more as they could perhaps make a run for the top spot this fall.

I like weird Student Sections and this is a weird Student Section. They pack the stands and go nuts! If we see this Student Section on social media more often, then this will be a no brainer in 2025. Social media promotion is the key to a repeat!

Oklahoma is stacked when it comes to Student Sections. Some of them can hang with the very best of them in the nation, but we have had one Student Section really battle for the top spot recently and the only one that wants the top spot as of late. Maybe that will change in 2025. We shall see.
Last Football season, we had the Edmond Memorial Dogpound as the top Football Student Section in Oklahoma. The Dogpound are always hungry for the top spot and they let us know each season. I don’t expect it any different in 2025. They’ve been fantastic to chat with over the years.

A student section that while they aren’t ranked super high or weren’t ranked high last year, they’re a Student Section to lookout for and for Oklahoma, it’s the Claremore Red Army. The Red Army was unranked in 2023 and broke into the Top 10 in 2024. If they improve on their social media game and promote their Student Section on Instagram, then they’ll keep moving up. Maybe they prevent a threepeat and take the top spot? We’ll find out in a couple months!
Will Red Army finally end the dynasty or will the Dogpound continue its reign of terror in The Sooner State? Let’s find out.
2025 OKLAHOMA FALL TOP 40 STUDENT SECTION PRESEASON RANKINGS
- Edmond Memorial Dogpound (2024 Rank: 1)
The Dogpound social media is pretty consistent when it comes to showing off their Student Sections, but the interaction they’ve had with us in the past indicates they want the top spot every year. That or it’s solid networking. Either way, I don’t much change as far as rankings as concerned. Unless another Student Section shows off their craze in the stands more than Edmond Memorial, it will be another year of the Dogpound.

In 2015, yours truly began covering Student Sections in Orange County, California. We expanded to Southern California in 2017 and in 2021, we added four more states and added 15 more states. We went to 40 states two years ago.
We went to all 50 states in winter of 2023 and now we add our friends from the North in Canada on top of dividing Texas into two regions, similar to what we did with California. No one has ever done that before…until now!
This is still a one-man operation for the most part, but we have some help with some partners on Instagram like good friends at OC Student Sections and Stadium Geeks with help from Maryland Student Section Rater, NorCal Student Sections and many more.
This year we plan to get several “barstool” pages that showcase Student Sections in their states. Some of those pages were very helpful last year as we get more accurate with our rankings.
I know that Student Sections have a lot of work to do to get the students to the games to cheer on their classmates and go along with the theme and make sure they don’t cause trouble. These student sections deserve recognition.
This past season, we several more Student Sections, including some big powerhouse ones that not only will be a top dawg in their state, but will be a big player in the National side!
We will kick off the Student Section season with Preseason Football Student Section Rankings. REMEMBER, this is a PREVIEW. It is merely a prediction. The real rankings come out in November or December.
If you feel your student section isn’t ranked high enough or not ranked at all, let us know and we’ll keep a close eye on them.
Every week, we will also have Student Section of the Week for each state. Once you win Student Section of the Week, you can’t win it again, but you still have to battle for the top spot in your state and perhaps the Nation as we will also name a Football Student Section National Champion.
We continue with the 2025 Fall Student Section Season with a preview of West Virginia.
West Virginia is a tough one when it comes to Student Sections on social media. We know they’re there, but we have a hard time seeing the Student Sections that are considered the best. Social Media promotion is key and it is no different if a Student Section wants to make a big up to the top of the Rankings.
Last Football season, we had the Morgantown Rowdie Society as the top Football Student Section in West Virginia. The Rowdie Society is looking for a three-peat and if nothing changes from the other Student Sections and Morgantown keeps doing what has been working, then we will see a three-peat.
In each state, we will name one student section to look out for. A student section that while they aren’t ranked super high or weren’t ranked high last year, they’re a Student Section to lookout for and for West Virginia, it’s Oak Hill Devils Den. The Devils Den made a big splash into the rankings after being unranked in 2023. If Oak Hill improves their social media game and keeps promoting their Student Section on Instagram, then we may have a new Student Section Champion in West Virginia.
Will the Devils Den take the new powerhouse Student Section or will the Rowdie Society go for three-in-a-row in The Mountain State? Let’s find out.

I believe Ric Flair once said, ‘To be the man, you got to beat the man and buddy, I am the man!’ The same can be said for the Rowdie Society. This is Student Section on its own mainly because they show off a fantastic Student Section on Instagram on a consistent basis. Pretty simple, but they do it better than anyone else. Someone will be daring to try, but until then, this road goes through Morgantown!

Kentucky has some solid Student Sections. It’s a state so deep in school spirit and most of that had to do with an in-state competition for the best Student Section on Twitter. That contest was put on hold a couple years ago, but thankfully we’re here to continue that. Hopefully we can get their second opinion because this state loves to go nuts in the stands.
Last Football season, we had the Ryle as the top Football Student Section in Kentucky. Ryle was on the bottom of our rankings, but they crashed the party and took over as the top Student Section in the state. They definitely made an impression on us and hopefully that continues. It will take a lot to repeat in this state!

A student section that while they aren’t ranked super high or weren’t ranked high last year, they’re a Student Section to lookout for and for Kentucky, it’s Desales Danger Zone. Danger Zone was one of the top Kentucky Basketball Student Sections a couple of seasons ago, but I am assuming they had a rebuilding year. At least we hope so because that would mean the leaders of the Danger Zone are ready to show off and promote their Student Section on Instagram and make their way back to the top regardless of sport.
Will the Danger Zone make a return to the top of the rankings or will Ryle defend their top ranking in The Bluegrass State? Let’s find out.

This Maniacs squad wasn’t as active on social media when it came to posting photos/videos of their Student Section this year, but they still got the job done on the voting poll. The Maniacs have been consistent in letting us know they’re the best or at least one of the best. Imagine if they showed off their school spirit a lot more this year. Next year could be very scary and I can definitely see a repeat. Cant say repeat until we crown them first, so the 2024-2025 West Virginia Winter Student Section of the Year goes to the Musselman Maniacs!

Trying to get the Student Section Rankings accurate in Texas is one of our most difficult feats, but we always end up discovering some new and amazing Student Section and this Winter, we discovered Birdville! One of the biggest Winter Student Sections in the state and we gave them a shot in the vote for the best Winter Student Section in the state as the eighth and final seed. Birdville made a run and took the top spot and a chance to battle for the National Winter Student Section Title! While they fell short in the National Bracket, Birdville put themselves on the map as they’re the 2024-2025 Texas Winter Student Section of the Year!

I recall chatting with the Dawgpound a couple years ago and I felt this would be a special group, but they stopped showing off their Student Section on social media (a requirement in order to be recognized as one of the best). This put the Dawgpound on the outside, but that changed this winter!
The Dawgpound had a great Student Section and they weren’t afraid to show it off. They had a top notch team on the court that attracted more Students to the game! The Dawgpound I first remembered is back! They may not be the largest Student Section, but showing off their Student Section more than others in this state that got them recognized.
We’ll see how they’ll fare in the National Winter Student Section 53- team bracket in a couple of weeks, but for now, they’re the 2024-2025 Arkansas Winter Student Section Champions!

The time has come to start ranking 50 states that we covered this football season.
To say I’m overwhelmed with the work that comes along with this is a huge huge understatement.
We had 10 Student Section of the Week winners in West Virginia and that helped us determine who had the best Student Section and which ones wanted it more.
Just showing up in large crowds isn’t enough. It might fool other outlets that don’t cover Student Sections, but not us. We have to know how bad you want it and marketing is key.
You will see top-notch Student Sections miss out at the top spot, but we kept saying it over and over and over again, in order to be considered number one, you have to win the Student Section of the Week title. Otherwise, what is the point of having that contest?!
I know Student Sections complain but remember it’s thousands of Student Sections and only me. Social media is your friend if used correctly.
A Student Section that doesn’t post videos or photos of there Student Section on a consistent basis is like a tree falling with no one around. It doesn’t make any noise.
This is our third year covering Football Student Sections in West Virginia. We had Martinsburg Dog Pound winning it in 2022 and Morgantown Rowdie Society in 2023.

It was close, but the Rowdie Society is back on top! They can pack the stands better than anyone else in the state. Rowdie Society also loves to showoff their Student Section on social media. We’ll see how far they will go when they vote in the National Football Student Section playoffs, but for now they’re the back-to-back West Virginia Football Student Section of the Year!

For awhile, I kept flipping the Maniacs between the 1 and 2 spot in the rankings. They have had high praise by local media and I see why. We’ll see if they can market and promote the voting in the National Football Student Section playoffs!

The time has come to start ranking 50 states that we covered this football season.
To say I’m overwhelmed with the work that comes along with this is a huge huge understatement.
We had 11 Student Section of the Week winners in Arkansas and that helped us determine who had the best Student Section and which ones wanted it more.
Just showing up in large crowds isn’t enough. It might fool other outlets that don’t cover Student Sections, but not us. We have to know how bad you want it and marketing is key.
You will see top-notch Student Sections miss out at the top spot, but we kept saying it over and over and over again, in order to be considered number one, you have to win the Student Section of the Week title. Otherwise, what is the point of having that contest?!
I know Student Sections complain but remember it’s thousands of Student Sections and only me. Social media is your friend if used correctly.
A Student Section that doesn’t post videos or photos of there Student Section on a consistent basis is like a tree falling with no one around. It doesn’t make any noise.
This is our third year covering Football Student Sections in Arkansas. We had Bryant Swarm winning it in 2022 and in 2023.
We are still trying to figure out Arkansas. Some solid Student Sections, but it’s not as deep this fall. Hopefully we see that change in the winter.
We will have 2 Student Sections in Arkansas that will be voting in the Student Section playoffs that will begin soon.
So, let’s see who made the list and who is the best in the Razorback State.
2024 ARKANSAS FINAL TOP 40 FOOTBALL STUDENT SECTION RANKINGS
RED = PLAYOFF BOUND
- Fayetteville Dawgpound (2023 Rank: 12)
The Dawgpound showed off their Student Section on a consistent basis and when they did, they looked crazy and loud. A pretty good combo for Fayetteville and a problem for every opponent. We’ll see how far they will go when they vote in the National Football Student Section playoffs, but for now they’re the 2024 Arkansas Football Student Section of the Year!
- Bentonville West Den (2023 Rank: 2)
The Den has shown consistency as they break in the Top 3 again. It is always a party when you’re in the Den. We’ll see if they can market and promote the voting in the National Football Student Section playoffs!
- Vilonia Jort Squad (2023 Rank: 17)
Jort Squad never took a day off in the stand or on social media when it came to showing off their Student Section. We always saw the Jort Squad in action on Instagram. That got them in the Top 3.
- Bentonville (2023 Rank: 16)
Bentonville makes the big leap from 16 to 4 thanks to a packed and loud crowd this season.
- Searcy Jungle (2023 Rank: 7)
The Jungle packed the stands this season and the Black Out Theme looks solid for the Jungle as they break in the Top 5.
