2022 INDIANA TOP 40 FOOTBALL STUDENT SECTION RANKINGS

We continue our Final Rankings in the 41 states we covered this football season. 

To say I’m overwhelmed with the work that comes along with this is an understatement.

We had Student Section of the Week for over 10 weeks and that helped us determine who had the best Student Section and which one wanted it more.

Just showing up in large crowds isn’t enough. It might fool other outlets that don’t cover Student Sections, but not us. We have to know how bad you want and marketing is key. 

You will see top-notch Student Sections miss out at the top spot, but we kept saying it over and over and over again, in order to be considered number one, you have to win the Student Section of the Week title. Otherwise, what is the point of having that contest?!

I know Student Sections complain, but remember it’s thousands of Student Sections and only me. Social media is your friend if used correctly.

Indiana has some insane Student Sections that makes ranking the top Student Section difficult. The top half of Indiana can battle for a National Ranking! Thankfully we had someone helping us in Indiana. Let’s just say our preseason pick stuck, but it was close…very close.

So many great Student Sections in this state. Let’s take a look at our Top 40 and name our state champ!

2022 INDIANA TOP 40 FOOTBALL STUDENT SECTION RANKINGS

1. Cathedral Irish Nightmare 

This Student Section is insane! The themes, chants, the craziness, this is definitely a Nightmare for opposing teams. We consistently saw the hype thanks to Jade Zhao Photography (@00a86b.photography in Instagram).

The photos sold me as the Cathedral Nightmare is the Indiana Football Student Section of the Year!

2. Hamilton Southeastern Blue Crew

Blue Crew was right there for the top spot. They pack the stands and go wild. The stands fill with Blue and White and it comes with other themes. Regardless of the theme, they’re a crazy bunch.

3. Franklin Blue Crew

They might be called the Blue Crew, but the sea of White is amazing! The Blue Crew battled for the top spot all year!

4. Avon Oriole Army

The Oriole Army got off to a great start and stayed the course! Definitely a Student Section that will get a National Ranking! Like an Army, Avon comes in full force!

5. Fishers Tiger Cage

Tiger Cage won the first Indiana Student Section of the Week and didn’t miss a beat afterward. Amazing Student Section!
