36 Winners in 35 states this past week. The voting was insane, with 26,750 votes. We thank you for that! While we had 36 winners across the country, one Student Section came away with 1,431 votes in the state of Texas, the Allen Eagle Zone. The Eagle Zone had the toughest task in the country and that was to rattle St. John Bosco of Bellflower, California, the nation’s top-ranked team. Definitely a brutal task.  It was a tough one, but the Eagle Zone didn’t give up and supported their football all the way to the end with the Braves taking the victory.  The Eagle Zone went to the voting polls and narrowly beat out the Valencia Viking Nation of Southern California (1,246 votes), Murrieta Valley Red Zone of Southern California (1,127 votes), Franklin Flagship of...

In 2015, yours truly began covering Student Sections in Orange County, California. We expanded to Southern California in 2017 and last year, we added four more states. This past winter, we expanded to 19 states.  Now, we are going to 40 states. This is still a one-man operation for the most part. I know that Student Sections have a lot of work to do to get the students to the games to cheer on their classmates and go along with the theme and make sure they don’t cause trouble. These student sections deserve recognition. We will kick off the Student Section season with Preseason Football Student Section Rankings. REMEMBER, this is a PREVIEW. It is merely a prediction. HERE ARE THE RULES: VOTING WILL START NOW UNTIL THURSDAY AT 5:00 PM PST. IF THERE IS 5 NOMINEES IN YOUR STATE, YOU CAN VOTE UP TO TWO STUDENT SECTIONS PER STATE.
