  • 2023 WASHINGTON TOP 40 FOOTBALL STUDENT SECTION RANKINGS

The time has come to start ranking 50 states that we covered this football season.

To say I’m overwhelmed with the work that comes along with this is an understatement.

We had 12 Student Section of the Week winners in Washington and that helped us determine who had the best Student Section and which ones wanted it more.

Just showing up in large crowds isn’t enough. It might fool other outlets that don’t cover Student Sections, but not us. We have to know how bad you want it and marketing is key.

You will see top-notch Student Sections miss out at the top spot, but we kept saying it over and over and over again, in order to be considered number one, you have to win the Student Section of the Week title. Otherwise, what is the point of having that contest?!

I know Student Sections complain, but remember it’s thousands of Student Sections and only me. Social media is your friend if used correctly.

This is our third year covering Football Student Sections in Washington.

I feel like we haven’t still gotten a solid grasp of Washington Student Sections yet, but we have noticed more Student Sections in this state, so we hope to be even more accurate.

The Washington Football Student Section Champion will move on to Regionals in hopes to get the National Championship banner as voting will now get involved!

So, let’s see who made the list and who is the best in the Evergreen State.

2023 WASHINGTON FINAL TOP 40 FOOTBALL STUDENT SECTION RANKINGS

    1. Mount Si Red Sea

Well, we knew one Red Sea was going to win it. It was close, but Mount Si wanted to let us know that they wanted this. It’s a solid Student Section that can rock the stands year round. They battled with the very best in the state and we’ll see how they will do when they battle with the best in the Nation, but for now, the Mount Si Red Sea is your 2023 Washington Football Student Section of the Year!

    1. Eastlake Red Sea

To not put the Red Sea was a tough one, but they are one of the best in the nation. This is a crazy large group of kids that can become a problem for opposing teams.

    1. Lake Stevens Viking Castle

Viking Castle battled for the top spot this fall. They were in consideration and you can’t blame them. This is an amazing Student Section that can pack the stands!

    1. Glacier Peak

Glacier Peak can pack the stadium to the peak. You can always count on this Student Section to be at the top of the list every year. A very consistent Student Section.

    1. Inglemoor Viking Ship

You have to definitely hit the deck when the Inglemoor Viking Ship is in town. They can rock any theme. I think the Black and Gold Theme is clutch!

  • 2023 NORTHERN CALIFORNIA FINAL TOP 40 FOOTBALL STUDENT SECTION RANKINGS

The time has come to start ranking 50 states that we covered this football season.

To say I’m overwhelmed with the work that comes along with this is an understatement.

We had 12 Student Section of the Week winners in NorCal and that helped us determine who had the best Student Section and which ones wanted it more.

This is our third year covering Football Student Sections in Northern California and were still discovering Student Sections.

This state has a lot of equal talent as far as Student Sections this season. the Top 5-10 Student Sections definitely had a say for Number One.

What really helped us was NorCal Student Sections (@norcalstudentsections on Instagram). They seem to have a good grasp of the Student Section scene in Northern California. Give them a follow!

Another person to follow is @leniepictures on Instagram. A huge help this fall in NorCal.

The Northern California Football Student Section Champion will move on to Regionals in hopes to get the National Championship banner as voting will now get involved!

So, let’s see who made the list and who is the best in NorCal.

2023 NORTHERN CALIFORNIA FINAL TOP 40 FOOTBALL STUDENT SECTION RANKINGS

    1. Vista del Lago Blue Crew

The Blue Crew crushed it this season. This Student Section always crushes it, but this season they get their reward. It is not an easy thing to be the best in NorCal and especially when the last two years were one by the same Student Section. Packed stands every week and the themes were on point. Such a rowdy Student Section and we’ll see how they’ll fare in Regionals and Nationals, but for now, the Vista del Lago is the 2023 Northern California Football Student Section of the Year!

    1. Laguna Creek Cardinal Crew

What a huge improvement from the Cardinal Crew. They wanted to be the best and acted like the best. They also marketed like the best on social media, showing off their Student Section on the daily. I have so much respect for the Cardinal Crew.

    1. Folsom Dog Pack

It seems like the Dog Pack is a lock Top 5 every season. Always a fantastic Student Section. They will take the Top spot next Fall. I can see it, but it will be a tough task, better get the Dawgs on this.

    1. Del Oro Blackhole

It is tough to get a threepeat going and more so in NorCal, but the Blackhole is still respected. One of the wild ones is definitely Del Oro.

    1. Woodcreek Wolfpack

This Student Section is well respected by other Student Sections and they showed off their school spirit very well this fall. A huge improvement social media wise.

2023 MONTANA FINAL TOP 20 FOOTBALL STUDENT SECTION RANKINGS

    1. Hamilton

The Bronc House can pack the stands better than anyone else. The themes were great, but I enjoyed how consistant this Student Section was on social media when it came to showing off their school spirit. We’ll see how they’ll fare in Regionals and Nationals, but for now Hamilton is your 2023 Montana Football Student Section Champion!

    1. Capital

Capital is loud, and wacky. Both make a great combination and they know, hence why they love to show off their Student Section on social media.

    1. Sentinel

Sentinel looks like a very rowdy Student Section. Crazy and loud makes a great combo.

    1. Billings Central Catholic

    1. West Linn

West Linn social media is the reason why they’re the top dawg this season. It’s really the tiebreaker. A solid Student Section that shows up every week and with one of the best football teams in the state, you can’t blame them. It was a close one, but West Linn will now battle for Regionals and maybe Nationals as they are the 2023 Oregon Football Student Section of the Year!

  • 2023 WASHINGTON FOOTBALL STUDENT SECTION TOP 40 PRESEASON RANKINGS

In 2015, yours truly began covering Student Sections in Orange County, California. We expanded to Southern California in 2017 and two years ago, we added four more states and added 15 more states. We went to 40 states last fall.

This last winter, we went to all 50 states. No one has ever done that before…until now!

This is still a one-man operation for the most part.

I know that Student Sections have a lot of work to do to get the students to the games to cheer on their classmates and go along with the theme and make sure they don’t cause trouble. These student sections deserve recognition.

We will kick off the Student Section season with Preseason Football Student Section Rankings. REMEMBER, this is a PREVIEW. It is merely a prediction. The real rankings come out in November or December.

If you feel your student section isn’t ranked high enough or not ranked at all, let us know and we’ll keep a close eye on them.

Every week, we will also have Student Section of the Week for each state. Once you win Student Section of the Week, you can’t win it again, but you still have to battle for the top spot in your state and perhaps the Nation as we will also name a Football Student Section National Champion.

We continue with the 2023 Football Student Section Season with a preview of Washington.

A lot of school spirit in this state. Washington is Student Section crazy that it makes it tough to pick the best in this state!

Last season, Eastlake Red Sea took the title as the best Student Section in Washington. Red Sea is insane, but there’s some Student Sections that came to battle this fall, so Eastlake has to be ready to defend its title.

In each state, we will name one student section to look out for. A student section that doesn’t get talked about a lot by us or others and for Washington, it’s the Glacier Peak. It is looking like this Student Section has gotten a lot better this fall and may compete for the top spot in this state.

Can Glacier Peak be on top in the Evergreen State? Let’s find out.

2023 WASHINGTON FOOTBALL STUDENT SECTION TOP 40 PRESEASON RANKINGS

In each state, we will name one student section to look out for. A student section that doesn’t get talked about a lot by us or others and for Oregon, it’s the Hillsboro. • 2023 IDAHO FOOTBALL STUDENT SECTION TOP 30 PRESEASON RANKINGS

We continue with the 2023 Football Student Section Season with a preview of Idaho.

I felt like I didn’t know much about Idaho, but there’s some great Student Sections out there where it is a tough task to decided who is the best because they’re all very evenly matched.

Last season, Owyhee took the title as the best Student Section in Idaho. This wasn’t a runaway as there’s 5-7 Student Sections in this state that are pretty equal, but Owyhee made a strong impression towards the end that gave them the state title. If they can’t do the same, they may go back-to-back.

In each state, we will name one student section to look out for. A student section that doesn’t get talked about a lot by us or others and for Idaho, it’s Borah Rowdies. We are starting to notice more and more of the Rowdies on Instagram and if we see consistency from them, we may have a new state champ!

Can the Rowdies be on top in the Gem State? Let’s find out.

2023 IDAHO FOOTBALL STUDENT SECTION TOP 30 PRESEASON RANKINGS

    1. Weiser

Weiser battled for the top spot last season and we have already seen them on Instagram. In a state that has solid Student Sections where you can’t find one that stands above the rest, it will take a lot to stand on top. It’s a battle and Weiser will be ready.

  • 2023 NORTHERN CALIFORNIA FOOTBALL STUDENT SECTION TOP 40 PRESEASON RANKINGS

In 2015, yours truly began covering Student Sections in Orange County, California. We expanded to Southern California in 2017 and two years ago, we added four more states and added 15 more states. We went to 40 states last fall.

We continue with the 2023 Football Student Section Season with a preview of Northern California.

NorCal is the reason why we expanded outside of Southern California thanks to the Turlock Dogpound. There’s alot of great school spirit in upper California. There is also some schools that don’t get as much love as other NorCal Student Section and our goal is to give them the love they deserve.

Last Football season, we had Del Oro Blackhole as the top Football Student Section in NorCal. The Blackhole repeated as NorCal Football Student Section Champions, but can they go for the three-peat? It will be toiugh with Student Sections like the Folsom Dog Pack and Vista del Lago Blue Crew, but Blackhole will battle as always.

In each state, we will name one student section to look out for. A student section that doesn’t get talked about a lot by us or others and for NorCal, it’s the Laguna Creek Cardinal Crew. The Cardinal Crew is a solid squad. They love to show off their school spirit on Instagram and they can pack the house full of crazy school spirited kids. This is a big sleeper pick and I expect the Cardinal Crew to make a move up in the rankings.

Will the Cardinal Crew be the school that dethrones Del Oro? Let’s find out.

2023 NORTHERN CALIFORNIA FOOTBALL STUDENT SECTION TOP 40 PRESEASON RANKINGS

    1. Vista del Lago Blue Crew

This is anyone game in NorCal, but I feel if someone is going to take down Del Oro and the Blackhole, it can be the Blue Crew of Vista del Lago. Solid Student Section with a consistent social media.

  • 2023 ALASKA FOOTBALL STUDENT SECTION TOP 20 PRESEASON RANKINGS

In 2015, yours truly began covering Student Sections in Orange County, California. We expanded to Southern California in 2017 and two years ago, we added four more states and added 15 more states. We went to 40 states last fall.

We begin the 2023 Football Student Section Season with a preview of Alaska.

It is going to be very tough to figure out Alaska as we don’t know just how committed they are to going outside for a game, but they have to be used to it. We also don’t see much of them on social media. We hope we get more of Alaska on social media.

Last Football season, we had Juneau Douglas/Thunder Mountain as the top Football Student Section in Alaska. Can they repeat as top dawg in Alaska?

In each state, we will name one student section to look out for. A student section that doesn’t get talked about a lot by us or others and for Alaska, it’s the Soldonta. Soldonta social media is the most consistent in the state and if they can just show off their student section every now and then, then the top student section title will be theirs in Alaska.

Can Soldotna pull it off? Let’s find out.

2023 ALASKA FOOTBALL STUDENT SECTION TOP 20 PRESEASON RANKINGS

    1. Soldotna

One of the few Student Sections that shows itself to the social media world. They want to show their school spirit. This is a solid Student Section if they show consistency. If they show off the rowdy Student Section, than my prediction will be right.
